Sexual Counseling

A safe, affirming space to explore intimacy, desire, and sexual wellbeing.
Sexual Health is complex and deeply personal.
We create a safe, supportive space to explore emotional and relational factors alongside physical ones.

As a nurse practitioner and certified sex counselor, Emily knows that difficulties with sexuality and intimacy are common, yet lead to feeling broken or losing connection with yourself or your partner. But there are many effective ways to address these issues, and you don’t have to suffer alone.

Sex shouldn’t be painful or feel like a chore. It’s also normal for our desires to change throughout life’s seasons. Sexual issues can stem from pain, mood/stress, childbirth, relationship issues, aging, or others, and Emily can help you identify and address causes, including how your hormones and life stage may be contributing.

Emily’s background in sexual medicine and sexual counseling provides a unique approach as each alone is seldom sufficient to address the majority of sexual issues that people experience. She uses an approach that is compassionate, strengths based, non-judgmental and fun.

Of note, Emily specializes in sexual issues but does not do general counseling for individuals or couples and has a wonderful network of trusted providers to refer to.
